CRAZIEST WEEKEND OF MY LIFE!

I HAVE A LOT TO SAY, SO LETS GO! This week was super stressful. We had three baptisms lined up, but because of the virus going around (which doesn't have much of a presence in Tampico) they decided they didnt want to get baptized. So just like that, we had no baptisms lined up at all for this week. We had two Investigators left who wanted to talk to us over the phone, Jose Eduardo and Cristihan. Jose Eduardo had a baptismal date for the 11 of April, and Cristihan only had one lesson with us, and he had a whole ton of doubts about the church (doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith people! jaja). Jose Eduardo worked all week until Saturday, so he didn't answer his phone until after work hours (which is like 12 at night). Pretty much we had no contact with him until Saturday. Cristihan works every day until 9, so we had 2 lessons with him this week, all of them over the phone. We talked with Cristihan on wednesday and he told us that, with his wife (who is a member), he had established regular prayer and regular scripture study habits, and through this, his doubts were leaving him little by little. We began to ask him all the baptismal interview questions. He answered very, single, one. His answers were incredibly deep coming from a testimony developed over real and personal scripture study, prayer, and church attendance. We scheduled our third lesson with Cristihan for friday, and when we called him he didn't pick up. SHOOT. He didn't pick up and we were super sad because he was so close to baptism. I walked home from the church a little discouraged that night. I should've had more faith though, because on saturday Jose Eduardo called us and we put a baptismal interview with him that same day. After the interview we put his baptism on sunday at 11. I was on cloud 9 at that point. We called Cristihan and he told us that he hadn't studying anything we left him because of work and that he still had doubts about baptism. We put a baptismal interview with him on Sunday morning at 9:30, and promised him that his doubts would be cleared up after the interview. On Sunday morning we had his interview, and he was in there with Elder Dennis for a long time. Cristihan came out of the interview being ready for baptism and we put a date for next saturday. I was a bit sad that I probably wouldn't get to baptize him , and we were filling in his registro when I got this impression to ask him if he was sure he didn't want to get baptized that day. I was figuring out what to say when Cristiahn began to tell us all his doubts have been cleared about baptism and that he was ready to be baptized. I then asked him if he was sure he didn't want to do it that day. He didn't realize we could do the baptism and the interview the same day. He told us he wanted to do it that day, because he preferred that we baptize him. Cristihan then got baptized an hour later with Hermano Jose Eduardo. His wife and kids were pumped. The baptism was so sweet, and everyone was so excited for Cristihan. I was excited for both of them. I feel very satisfied with the work I have done here in Tampico. In reality, I haven't done anything, the Lord has simply allowed me to be his representative, find the people I needed to find here. I am humbled by his mercy for me and his children. I cannot say the smallest part which I feel. As I physically leave Tampico tomorrow, spiritually I will never leave. Cuidense, Elder Griffin PICS (Don't mind my super long hair, we can't exactly go anywhere to cut it...)
