What a Drag!

¡Hola Hermanos y Hermanas! I have been saying “What a drag” too much. This week has been less exciting than the last time I have emailed! The food here is already getting to me so that’s not fun.... aaaand that’s all I’m going to say about that. Time is still dragging on! People say my time in the CCM is about to start speeding by, but I’m still waiting for that to start up. Everyone’s Spanish is improving and our district has grown so close over the past few days. We are having a ton of fun, and working hard to teach with the spirit. First off, for those who know Chris Stewart, on Sunday I met his younger brother at the devotional! I’ve only met Chris Stewart like twice, but for some reason I was able to recognize his brother! Then Tuesday, for those in the Glen Creek Ward, I met Elder Heaton’s brother in the tienda as Elder York and I were buying tide pods! In class this week we were doing role plays, and the person we were teaching was a woman in the church whose family was struggling with their beliefs. I got paired up with Hermana Fowers and as we were doing our role play I (the missionary) shared the scripture D&C 31:2 which reads: 2 Behold, you have had many afflictions because of your family; nevertheless, I will bless you and your family, yea, your little ones; and the day cometh that they will believe and know the truth and be one with you in my church. After I read it we both were kinda just like “whoa” It was the perfect scripture for the situation haha! It was just really strengthening to know that there are perfect scriptures for the perfect situation. Thats just another example of how The Book of Mormon can help us with trials we face today, and it’s just AMAZING! If you’re struggling with a trial in life right now, just read the scriptures and God will speak to you through the words of the prophets written in the Book of Mormon!
