Suck it Shawn!

¡Otra Vez! The weeks are getting crazier and crazier, and the days are feeling a little bit shorter, but not by much. This week has been wack! We are just cramming Spanish right now. We are pretty much taking everything I have learned over four years, adding onto it and trying to cram it in, It’s INTENSE. I have been playing a ton of volleyball, I can’t get enough of it! I’m actually getting pretty good now. Our entire district played volleyball together and that was the best. We were laughing so hard because Elder York tried to save the ball from hitting the ground by kicking it up, but he just kicked it straight into Elder Thurgood’s face. Elder Thurgood was fine, but we were all dying from laughter. Sunday night we had a really powerful devotional about The Atonement of Jesus Christ. Right before the devotional started I found out about Greg Leake, and knowing he got to go to the temple before he passed away made me very happy. I didn’t know Greg on a super personal level, but he was someone who I got to love and meet through the missionaries, and he was such a sweet guy. A real example to me of how The Atonement can improve lives. During the Sunday night devotional I got to share my own testimony of The Atonement and I just felt the spirit so intensely! We went to the temple today and it was crazy awesome! We got some sick handmade ties as well! It was just a spiritually fulfilling day. I felt so close to heaven and God, and it felt so good! Today was another testament of the truthfulness of this church. I know it’s true and I’m thankful for God’s love. ¡Le amo mucho!
